5-Day Victoria Fall & Hwange Adventure

This is a great tour for any traveler to Zimbabwe. It will make you enjoy the mighty Victoria Falls with lots of wild animals, activities, and the natural wonders to experience. Then Hwange National Park has the BIG 5 and the perfect place to explore the wild African bush with all its animals in the natural wild in comfort and style.

Itinerary Summary

Day 1 Arrive in Victoria Falls, transfer to Hwange

Today you arrive in Victoria Falls and will be collected from the Victoria Falls International Airport. From here you are transferred to the Hwange Safari Lodge in Hwange. Hwange National Park is a mix of grasslands and mopane woods and is home to large elephant herds, lions, and African wild dogs.

Day 2 Hwange National Park

Early morning you will then be taken on an open game drive with the opportunity to encounter elephants and other game species in the park. This area is well known for lions so you may get that special viewing opportunity. You will return to the lodge mid-day for a rest and lunch will be included. You may choose to do another drive or a guided walk and experience the real feeling of being close to Africa’s giants on foot, a truly amazing feeling.

Returning to the lodge at sundown for a scrumptious dinner and a hot shower. Rest easy to the sounds of the African night. Even a lion roars close to camp.

Day 3 Hwange NP to Victoria Falls

The day starts with an early start after a quick breakfast to catch the last of the nocturnal animals on their way to bed, and the early risers of the African dawn. Dress warm. You will return to the lodge in time for your transfer back to Victoria Falls at mid-day.

You will check into our lodge and lunch will be on your account. You may then travel across the famous Victoria Falls Bridge, built many years ago, and meet your guide who will take you on the Zambian side to visit the devil’s pools, ( seasonal) famously situated right on the edge of the waterfalls. An amazing experience. From here you will return to the lodge. Dinner can be enjoyed at the lodge or in one of the local restaurants in town.

Day 4 Victoria Falls

A full day of activities in Victoria Falls, including viewing of the Falls in the mornings, you will need a waterproof bag for the cameras and phones as you may get wet! Enjoy the majestic grandeur of this wonder of the world. While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world.

After the Falls walk and some other sights or activities are available, we recommend you book a sunset cruise. This is a great way to end the day. Drink and watch hippos and sometimes elephants along the river’s edge as the sun sets.

The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show is a “must-do” Victoria Falls dining and entertainment experience. It provides a unique dining experience that fills your senses with the tastes, and sounds of Africa.

Day 5 Victoria Falls town to Victoria Falls Airport 

After your breakfast at the lodge, and depending on what time your international flight departs, you may have some last minute shopping to do or you can just relax until check out and transfer to the airport to connect to your flights, with your bags full of wonderful memories of Zimbabwe, Bon voyage.
